Winston Churchill



 Winston Churchill was a solider in the first world war. Britain to stand strong against Hitler and the Germans, even when they were the last country left. As Germany continued to advance, the country lost confidence in Chamberlain. Finally, Chamberlain resigned and Winston Churchill was chosen to be his successor as Prime Minister on May 10, 1940. Winston Churchill Churchill attended the Royal Military College and joined the British cavalry upon graduation. He traveled to many places while with the military and worked as a newspaper correspondent, writing stories about battles and being in the military. While in South Africa during the Second Boer War, Winston Churchill was captured and became a Prisoner of War. He managed to escape from prison and traveled 300 miles to be rescued.

Why is Churchill famous? Winston Churchill was Britain’s prime minister for most of Wold War 2.He was famous for his refusal to give in, even when things were going badly. For a time he was the most famous person in Britain. People all over the wold know the name Winston Churchill. Where did he live? Churchill was born in 1874 .He lived through two Wold Wars. He saw the first cars ,the first planes and the first astronauts in space. He was at the crowning of Elizabeth 2 as queen of England in 1953.

Winston Churchill was the British Prime Minister for most of World War 2. He was born in 1874 on November 30th in Oxfordshire, England but sadly died in 1965 on the 24th of January. He was around in both of the wars. 1 and 2. He was most popular for his speeches and his refusal to give in even when things were going badly. His job was to take care of Britain as the Prime Minister. In World War 2, Winston Churchill stood up for the German army. He was on the greatest world leaders in the 20th century. He helped the whole of Britain to stand for the Germans and their Leader Adolf Hitler, who was also leader of The Nazi’s. He also famous for his inspiring speeches and quotes around the world of Britain. He was probably born in a palace called Blenheim Palace. His Father was named Lord Randolph Churchill and was a politician who held big offices in the British Government. Winston attended to the Royal Military College and the British cavalry upon graduation. He travelled around the world to many places while the military worked as a newspaper correspondent, writing stories about the battles of the world. His job had many ups and downs during this time but he came very famous for his writings and this was about Winston Churchill.

His career had many ups and At the outbreak of World War II, Churchill became First Lord of the Admiralty in command of the Royal Navy. At the same time the current Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, wanted to appease Germany and Hitler. Churchill knew this would not work and warned the government that they needed to help fight Hitler or Hitler would soon take over all of Europe.downs during this time, but he also became famous for many of his writings.many high offices in the British government. Soon after becoming Prime Minister, Germany invaded France and Britain was alone in Europe fighting Hitler. Churchill inspired the country to keep fighting despite the bad circumstances. He also helped to forge an alliance of Allied Powers with the Soviet Union and the United States. Even though he did not like Joseph Stalin and the communists of the Soviet Union, he knew the Allies needed their help to fight Germany.

What was special about Churchill? People remember Churchill as a war leader. But he did other important jobs in a long life full of adventures. Winston Churchill loved history and in his life he made history. Why is Churchill famous? Winston Churchill was the Britain, s prime minister for nearly all of the world war 2. He was a very famous man for his speeches and they were very useful, even when sometimes things went wrong or bad. For quite a long time he was the most famous person in Britain .people all over the whole world knew the name Winston Churchill. When did he live? Churchill was born in 1874.He lived through two world wars. Interestingly, he saw the first cars , the first planes and the first astronauts in space! He was an Mp for 60 years or more. Winston Churchill died in 1965 he was a very famous man.
